Raynaud’s Syndrome and Fibromyalgia?

Does anybody else have Raynaud’s Syndrome along with fibromyalgia? As the weather gets colder, I start turning blue and feeling like crap. If I run or walk for more than a half hour outside in the cold, several of my fingers turn plastic-y white and go numb. As I rewarm my hands, the pain is tingly and bad. Anyone else with a similar experience?

  1. Yes, I too have this problem! I won’t even feel like I need long sleeves, but I’ll wear gloves to prevent the numbness, tingling, and pain. My skin also will dry out quickly when I don’t wear gloves in the cold and get a reddish rash on it. I don’t know what that’s about, though. Once I had an extreme episode in which my fingertips up to just blow my shoulder on my right arm turned a light whitish-lavender color and my arm was cold to the touch for about two days. That’s when I was diagnosed with Reynauds but luckily that was extreme and has never been that bad again!

    1. Maria,
I’m glad your symptoms haven’t been as bad lately as they were when your entire arm went cold for two days! Thanks for sharing your story.
